Saturday 26th September 2015

On Saturday 26th September, charitable daredevils will be taking part in a tandem free-fall skydive at the Black Knights Parachute Centre, Lancaster, in order to raise funds for the North West Air Ambulance.  To get involved by booking your place on a dive, you’ll be helping to keep the air ambulances flying 365 days a year.

Friday 31st July 2015

The 2015 CLA Game Fair will be held at Harewood House, Leeds from Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August.  There will be exhibitions from across the country and the Totally Food Show will celebrate British food at its best, with cookery demonstrations by familiar chefs.  This year, the main arena line up includes all the traditional favourites alongside some exciting new displays.  To view the events website, please click here.

Saturday 6th June 2015

Originating in 1922, the tradition is kept alive anually, with a procession of colourful floats and children adorned in fancy dress making their way through Mobberley village from the Victory Hall.  This year it will take place on Saturday 6th June, with the procession being followed by the traditional crowning of the Rose Queen and entertainment for the guests.

Saturday 30th May 2015

On Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May, the Gardens of Peover Hall are open to raise money for nursing and caring charities.  The public are invited to browse the beautiful gardens and wander among the lily ponds, topiary work, walled gardens and secret passageways.  To find out more about what the National Garden Scheme does, please visit their website.

Monday 25th May 2015

On the Late May Bank Holiday Monday, Lions Street Fair will be held on King Street between 11am and 4pm to raise funds for local causes.  The road will be closed for the duration of the fair, with stalls lining the main shopping streets and entertainers to be found at various locations.  To view more about what Knutsford and District Lions do in the community, please click here.

Saturday 16th May 2015

On Saturday 16th May, the day begins at 2pm with the crowning of the Rose Queen.  Ashley village offers free entrance to the fields of Sunnyside Nursery and fun-filled acitivties throughout the day.  Attractions inclusing BBQ’s, tombolas and Morris dancing.  All proceeds from the day are donated to St Elizabeth’s Parish Church.

Saturday 2nd May 2015

Knutsford Royal May Day celebrated its 150th year in 2014 and remains hugely popular to this day, attracting vast numbers of visitors to the town over May Day weekend.

The event is held annually on the first Saturday of May and includes a procession through the town, culminating on Knutsford heath, where the May Queen is crowned and local children entertain the crowds dancing around the May Pole. Click here to open the Knutsford Royal May Day website.

Knutsford heath also boasts “John Collins’ biggest bank holiday fun fair”, running from Thursday evening on the 30th April to Bank Holiday Monday on the 4th May. The heath also plays host to a free firework display on the Sunday evening for everybody to enjoy.

Mr Randle Brooks, owner of the Tatton Estate, is president of the Royal May Day and provides the Heath as a venue for this and many other community events.
