Cheshire’s TEM Property comment on the Autumn Statement 2016

Henry Brooks of TEM Property was interviewed on Radio 5 live following Chancellor Philip Hammond’s 2016 Autumn Statement.

[envira-gallery id=”5232″]Henry was asked to comment on Andrew Percy, the Northern Powerhouse Ministers recent visit to Cheshire, the recent publication of the government’s Northern Powerhouse Strategy and the news that £550 million is to be invested into Northern Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP.

With recent investment of £200 million into the new A556 dual carriageway and Henry highlighted the private sector opportunities to support this investment with complimentary schemes such as TEM’s client, Tatton Estate’s Cheshire Gateway site; a science park and distribution facility that could see the creation of 2,500 jobs, continuing to make Cheshire a location that attracts and retains the best people to live and work.

A the recent Conservative Party conference, Sajid Javid stated that housing has to be a priority.  Henry described his hopes that Transport for the North will be given statutory force so that there is “joined up thinking” between infrastructure and development, he goes on to say that housing developments must be great places to live not just housing estates.
